Welcome Letter from the International Organising Committee

Warm greetings to all our friends,

We are honored to invite you to the 8th European Congress on Epileptology that will be held in Berlin from September 21-25, 2008.

The Scientific Advisory Committee is at present putting together a comprehensive and attractive program, aiming to cover all fields of epileptology, thus providing discussion platforms and state-of-the art information for all epileptologists, from bench to bedside.

This meeting is being jointly organized by both the Israeli and German branches of the ILAE. It revitalizes the concept of engendering communication and exchange of ideas amongst researchers and clinicians working across the continent and beyond.

In addition to the scientific activities, the Organizing Committee is planning a series of social events, which will give the delegates an opportunity to experience and enjoy the thriving and inspiring aspects of Berlin, a multicultural metropolitan city in the heart of Europe..

We want to encourage your attendance, for this is an opportunity for each and every one of us to expand knowledge and spark new ideas. Your presence and active participation will give life to the meeting - we look forward to welcoming you in Berlin.
