Scientific Programme - Welcome letter from SAC Chairs
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Scientific Advisory Committee, it gives us great pleasure to warmly invite you to Berlin to attend the 8th European Congress on Epileptology.
The Scientific Advisory Committee, is currently working to create a scientific programme which will be of great interest to all, encompassing recent scientific developments and and the exchange of ideas and information between basic scientists, researchers and clinicians working in the field of epilepsy throughout the region.
The scientific programme of the Congress will make every effort to highlight the most relevant issues in the diagnosis, management and treatment of epilepsy, comprising of four main topics; Pharmacogenetics & Pharmacogenomics, Synaptopathies in Epilepsy, Immune Processes and Epilepsy, Predicting the Response to AED's.
As well as the main session topics, there will be a comprehensive programme of Discussion Groups, Workshops and Teaching Sessions. Of course, presentation of recent research will be an important element of the programme and we encourage all researchers to take advantage of this opportunity and hope that you will submit your work later this year.
We look forward to welcoming you to the city of Berlin, the political and cultural capital of Germany and the geographical heart of a growing Europe.
